In addition to being good and fresh, iced tea considerably increases your antioxidants. And as we all know, antioxidants are everything these days! So it's the perfect drink to drink without moderation. According to one study, tea contains about 8 to 10 times the polyphenol antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables. Impressive, isn't it?
If you are using tea bags, prepare 250ml of water per bag to optimise the brewing process and serve in one of our beautiful cups/mugs .
Organic Iced Tea
The English Tea Shop brand offers a selection of organic iced tea in packs of 10 bags. Organically grown, the fields are untreated and owned by small local producers, who are part of the Fairtrade movement, guaranteeing them a fair wage. The packaging is recyclable and biodegradable.
Too often neglected, the serving temperature is the fundamental key to a good and successful tasting. For iced tea, it should be served at 18°C.
For a successful iced tea, infuse 8 to 10g of tea in 1 litre of water at room temperature for 3 hours for black tea or Oolong, and 1 hour for green tea. Remove the leaves; then put the tea in the refrigerator.
To make homemade iced tea recipes, you can add fresh mint leaves and lemon slices. This will give your drink an even more festive feel and you can vary the flavour by changing the fruit according to the season! All you have to do is enjoy your drink with friends or family and savour it!
