Patented S2C Burrs (Spike to Cut)
Patented S2C burrs (spike to cut) will spike the beans then cut them, a revolutionary way to get the best grind with less fines. S2C burrs are
42mm with a capacity of 30-35g depending on the density of your beans.
The burrs are made from high carbon stainless steel (SUS440) for wear and
rust resistance. Timemore invested a lot of time to create new S2C burrs (spike to cut) which will spike the beans then cut them, a revolutionary way to get the best grind with less fines to reduce the risk of over extraction and bitterness
.
Setting up your Grinder
With the Chestnut X, there's a double wheel system which allows you an incredible level of desired grinding. The grinder has
24 separate grind adjustments but, here's the exciting part, there's a secondary dial that gives you the ability to fine tune the grinder by
another 5 fine adjustments per notch.
In total, with both dials, you'll have
120 levels of adjustment possibilities. The handle of the crank will make you incredible happy for years to come. It's not only retractable for space saving but the quality and the satisfying click it makes when in place is pretty special.
There's even a well thought out
rubber bumper on the underside of the handle to prevent damage to the grinder body. For those of you wondering about the lid, yes, it is metal, opposed to many other lids that use plastic.
