This Moka pot by Alessi is a revisit of the classic Italian coffee maker. While the original octagonal version was inspired by futurism and art deco, the Italian coffee maker designed by Alessandro Mendini is characterised by its roundness and curved lines. The thickness of the material has been optimised, the volumes of the containers have been calculated to offer maximum ease of use, and the ergonomics of the knob have been designed to ensure a good grip. Its small size and aesthetic appeal bring the artistic philosophy and talent of its creator, Alessandro Mendini, to the fore.

Alessandro Mendini (1931-2019) was a Milanese designer and architect who established himself as an advisor to some of the world's leading brands, including Philips, Swarovski, Swatch and Bisazza. A former director of Casabella, Modo and Domus, he has won a Compasso d'Oro and designed the Groninger Museum in Groningen, the Casino in Arosa and the Forum in Omegna.

The 6 cup Moka espresso maker is a revisit of the classic Italian coffee maker, created in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti, Alberto Alessi's grandfather. Alessandro Mendini has paid a fine tribute to the history of the Italian coffee maker, and to Italy in general.
