Durgol Descaler: For a Perfect Result

By using Durgol® swiss espresso® descaler, you can descale your machine almost instantly, which considerably reduces the duration of the descaling process.

Descaling is very easy and safe, and will extend the life of your machine.

One 125ml portion of Durgol® swiss espresso® descaler is able to dissolve up to 10g of limescale , which is enough to completely descale a high-quality home espresso coffee machine once.

Descaling and rinsing machines equipped with a descaling programme (automatic descaling):

  • Pour a 125 ml portion of Durgol® swiss espresso® into the water tank.
  • Dilute with tap water according to the quantities indicated in the machine manufacturer's instructions for use. Start the descaling programme. If there are no instructions regarding the amount of descaler, fill the tank with tap water until the descaling programme is started
  • Collect the liquid that drains away in a suitably sized glass or plastic container. This container should be placed in such a way as to avoid splashing. Be careful, the liquid can be very hot!
  • Rinse the machine with tap water according to the programme instructions
  • And there you have it, you are once again able to savour a perfect quality espresso.

Descaling and rinsing machines without a descaling programme:

  • Pour one dose (125ml) of Durgol® swiss espresso® into the water tank
  • Dilute with the same amount of tap water (using the empty bottle as a measure)
  • Allow this solution to flow out of the coffee outlet. If you cannot trigger the descaling cycle with the solution (as there is too little liquid in the water tank), continue to fill the tank with water until you can operate the machine. This should be the case when there is a total quantity of approx. 0.5 litres of liquid in the tank.
  • Collect the escaping liquid in a suitably sized glass or plastic container. This container should be placed in such a way as to avoid splashing. Be careful, the liquid is very hot!
  • After descaling, rinse the water tank with tap water. Then rinse the machine with tap water, passing the contents of the water tank through 1 or 2 times.
  • It's time to savour a perfect espresso. This should also be observed for machines without a descaling programme.
