Gutity Grand Cru coffee beans come from Ethiopia, more precisely from the Yirgacheffe region. MaxiCoffee's roasters source this coffee from the washing station located at an altitude of 1983 metres and surrounded by the river that bears the name of our coffee. Each producer traditionally lives in the centre of his plantation, which covers no more than one hectare. You'll enjoy a typical Ethiopian coffee with refreshing notes of jasmine and lemongrass. Specialty Coffee Beans Gutity Ethiopia - CAFÉS LUGAT

A Unique Floral Coffee

Coffee growing is a family tradition in Ethiopia. The endemic coffee variety is the most widespread and is grown around each farmer's home. Coffee is the main source of income, often supplemented by Ethiopian banana, avocado and papaya production. After harvesting, the coffees are collected in washing stations, and the one in Gutity pays producers above the market price.

To encourage a harvest containing a majority of red cherries, the washing station financially rewards the growers. This contributes to an overall quality well above average. The coffee cherries are selected and grown by hand before being transported, less than 5 km from their plantation, to the collection point.

When you taste it, you'll discover a fresh attack with lovely citrus notes. A delicate body reminiscent of black tea with bergamot. A long, floral mouthfeel of jasmine and lemongrass. Gutity coffee reveals its full flavour with a mild extraction, such as a Chemex or V60...
