In 1961, Rui Nabeiro decided to create his own brand of coffee. A connoisseur of the coffee market and entrepreneur by nature, he started up with just 2 coffee roasting machines with 30kg capacity each, in a small warehouse of 50 square meters, in the village of Campo Maior in Alentejo (southern Portugal).

 

Today, there are more than 180 different job roles at Delta Cafés and the roasting part has more than 2100 employees.

 

Delta Cafés also has a citizenship policy: the company has initiated a sustained development project with the objective of benefiting the coffee-producing regions, giving them better environmental, social and economical conditions.

 

This project aims, on the one hand to develop the production of quality coffee whilst ensuring a healthy, responsible and sustained industry.
